NATIONAL EMPLOYABILITY ENHANCEMENT MISSION (NEEM)- An Initiative By SBBMT


  • There is need of Skilled Workforce , the one of the objectives of SBBMT is to turn youth as SKILLED.

  • In view of promoting and developing our country we must focus on giving opportunities to the youth for getting on the job training.

The Government, through AICTE introduced the skill development initiatives, various initiatives, through new strategic framework for skill development to meet the demand for specific skills of a high order, a Public Private Partnership between Government and Industry is proposed to promote skills development program under the name “Skill India Initiative’.


One of those initiatives is NEEM ,“NATIONAL EMPLOYABILITY ENHANCEMENT MISSION”, where student is given an opportunity to gain practical experience along with his/her education.


NEEM, is “National Employability Enhancement Mission” as per Govt. Regulation of AICTE (F.No 37-3/Legal/AICTE/2013) as per the AICTE Act of 1987. The scheme NEEM has social perspective the most perfect way to teach any subject to giving the students on job training .On job training is an integral part of NEEM scheme.

Eligibility Of NEEM Trainee

  • Age: 18 Years – 35 Years

  • Qualification: 10th pass / Pursuing / Not Pursuing /Completed or DiscontinuedGraduation / Diploma

  • Experience: Should not be employed at the time of registration as NEEM Trainee

Enrollment Process

  • Students will be sourced either by client or by SBBMT and Shortlisted/selected jointly along with the company HR.

  • Students will be provided training as per NSQF norms.

  • Students to be enrolled as Trainee in various companies through SBBMT for a stipulated period ranging from 3 months to 36 months.

  • On job and theoretical training will be provided as per course offered.

  • Students will get their certification from SBBMT after he/she successfully completes the stipulated period of course.

Training

  • Each NEEM trainee shall be provided comprehensive training in the trade by development in the premises of an employer / company / industry or in the field of operations depending on the trade selected.

Compliances

  • Monthly reports by SBBMT to AICTE

Stipend

  • Not less than current Minimum Wages structure for that particular category for unskilled person.

  • Stipend shall be paid as a single consolidated amount, and such payment will not attract any statutory deductions or payments applicable to regular employees since the NEEM contract assures training & does not constitute employment

Termination Of NEEM Agreement With Trainee

  • Either party can terminate by giving a prior notice before 30 Days.

Insurance Converage

  • Employee compensation Act 1923 is mandatory , thus policy will be obtained by SBBMT, which shall be reimbursed by client.

Norms For Contract For Imparting Training Under NEEM

  • A contract shall be signed between NEEM Agent and the NEEM Trainee to capture all the terms & conditions which would govern relationship.

  • The NEEM training shall be deemed to have started from the date of joining of NEEM trainee

  • The NEEM contract shall neither be an offer or employment or a guarantee of employment

  • Any remuneration / stipend paid to trainee is a consolidated amount not subject to any other deductions of payments as applicable in a regular employment
